By 1919 Fefor had grown to 79 room and 120 beds, and was then taken over by John Walter and his wife Caroline from Bergen, along with their son John Walter jr. and his wife Aggi. In 1923, the younger generation took over, and in 1927 John became the director of the Hotel Norge in Bergen. They then sold Fefor to his brother Christian Fredrik, who, together with his wife, developed Fefor into one of Norway’s leading mountain hotels.
